PASSIVENESS VS. ACTION

Nothing fires me up more than seeing those around me achieve their dreams. I love it!

I believe God is in the business of fulfilling every dream locked inside your heart! He loves to blow our minds; it is His nature! Just the other day I was moved to tears watching Mike Trout, all-star outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels, autograph a baseball for a young man in the stands who ran into his dad's arms crying sobbing tears immediately following his encounter with Trout. Those moments when God acknowledges our dreams and stretches them beyond our wildest imagination.

I’ve been extremely blessed to have incredible leaders in my life who consistently remind me of the promises of God and what He has supernaturally set up for my future. I’ve also seen the devastating results that follow not having solid voices in our lives to remind us that we are called to more than we can ask, think, or imagine. If you’re reading this, I’m sure you have goals you would like to see accomplished in your life.

The truth is God loves big dreamers!

God has much bigger plans that you may or may not realize today. His thoughts are different than ours and His ways are higher!

Although, I’ve discovered that there is a LARGE chasm between those who have big plans and those who see their dreams fulfilled. God desires to co-labor with you. It’s His sovereign, strategic way of invading the earth. He actively searches to and fro eager to show Himself strong on behalf of those fully devoted to Him. He partners with humanity to see the light of heaven illuminate every ounce of darkness found on the earth. It’s the battle plan to eradicate all things opposing His sovereign intention, and the most powerful force known to mankind. The divine blueprint, Heaven coming to earth.

For the sake of trying to please everyone, we so often choose passiveness rather than engagement. This is many times mistaken as humility and is DETRIMENTAL to the partnership with God we have been called to as ambassadors of the kingdom. This harms everything meaningful in our lives, and many times comes from deep roots of fear hidden in our hearts. Good baseball players all know it’s better to strike out swinging than simply looking. Passiveness waits around hoping that one-day things will change and leads us into a fantasy land that does not exist. Stepping out can be scary and flat out nerve-racking. The beautiful thing about God is He loves to come through for those willing to make history with Him. He delights in our journey and takes joy in our willingness to trust Him. Childlike wonder warms the heart of God!

God blesses the work of our hands.

Moses even prayed for the Lord to make his efforts successful. (Psalm 90:17)

Humility is not inaction. Humility is a lifestyle and a daily choice to exalt Christ in every area of our lives. Humility is a key component that every believer must possess to lay hold of their kingdom assignment on the earth. The Bible instructs us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, and He will exalt us in due time. It’s our job to remain low, it’s His job to do the impossible. Nothing is too hard for Him.

The question becomes will you dare to believe? Will you launch out into the deep where history is made?

The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. This is where the line gets drawn in the sand. Where so many drift away waiting for someone else to come along and do what God has called them to do. While you’re waiting for something to fall out of the sky, God is waiting for you to start walking. Abraham had to leave everything behind to see the promise fulfilled, and one man’s obedience changed history. Another prophetic word won’t fix the chaos around you. You provoked into action is where culture gets transformed. A farmer who waits on the perfect weather never plants anything.

Don’t let passiveness rob you of your destiny. You don’t belong on the bench!
